  5.     Receive Expansion Mod:

  7.     Expands RX coverage to:
  8.  
  9.     320 - 480 MHZ
  10.     820 - 980 MHz
  11.     1220 - 1400 MHz

  14.       1.  Reset Radio by pressing the small indentation on RHS of radio.
  15.      2.  Press "450" key
  16.      3.  Press Funct and 0 (Set)
  17.      4.  Press Funct and D (Ent)
  18.      5.  Press the PTT switch
  19.      6.  Press "1200" key
  20.      7.  Press Funct and L (Lamp)
  21.      8.  Press Funct and 0 (Set)
  22.      9.  Press Funct and B (Code)
  23.     10.  Press Funct and L (Lamp)
  24.     11.  Press Funct and 3 (PO)
  25.     12.  Press the PTT switch
  26.  
  27.     This completes the RX expansion mod. To select the frequency
  28.     ranges within a band,  press Funct and 0, then Funct and 3.
  29.     The 440 MHZ band will alternate with the 320 MHz band. On the
  30.     1200 MHz band, the ranges will cycle 1200, 1300, 800, 900 then
  31.     back to 1200 MHz.

  33.     Now, for the TX expansion mod. This should be done after the RX
  34.     mod has been performed.

  36.      1.  Press "1200" key
  37.      2.  Press Funct and B (Code)
  38.      3.  Press 5 (Save)
  39.      4.  Press 2 (Dual)
  40.      5.  Press 0 (Set)
  41.      6.  Press "450" key
  42.      7.  Press Funct and B (Code)
  43.      8.  Turn Rotary Channel Selector Knob to Ch. #3
  44.      9.  Press 6 (Step)
  45.     10.  Press 2 (Dual)
  46.     11.  Press 0 (Set)
  47.     12.  Press Funct and 4 (FL/DM)
  48.     13.  Press Funct and "450" key
  49.     14.  Press Funct and 0 (Set)
  50.     15.  Press Funct and D (Ent)
  51.     16.  Press the PTT switch
  52.  
  53.     When properly completed, this will expand the TX coverage to
  54.     400 - 474 MHz and 1220 - 1340 MHz.
